Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt able to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can finally articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he could not remember "a single day without laughter".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a different essay, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles court official agreed to prevent the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate placed a security hold on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the probe.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a public database noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

In the wake of the killings, public individuals expressed different comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering provocative remarks that were met with immediate backlash by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the those speaking out recently. Speaking on his program, Rogan labeled the statements as "disturbing" and remarked they showed a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an adviser could have stepped in when the impulse to comment on the tragedy was made.
